The First Intifada continued into the early 1990s with ongoing clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli security forces. The uprising involved stone-throwing, barricades, and general strikes in the Palestinian territories. Despite peace talks, violence continued.
Deepened the Israeli-Palestinian divide and created significant economic strain on both sides. Led to increased security measures and checkpoints. Cultural impact included growing awareness of Palestinian grievances and internal Israeli debates about occupation policies.

Oslo Peace Process Period
Period of relative calm following Oslo Accords with ongoing peace negotiations
Following the historic Oslo Accords in 1993, this period saw the establishment of the Palestinian Authority and limited Palestinian self-rule in parts of the West Bank and Gaza. Peace negotiations continued with hopes for a final settlement, though implementation was slow and trust remained low.
Created economic opportunities and relative stability that allowed for cultural and economic development. Tourism increased and foreign investment grew. However, the incomplete implementation led to growing frustration and skepticism about the peace process among both Israelis and Palestinians.
